hi! i'm jacob
I spent four years at Indiana University, finishing my time at IU by running the award-winning Indiana Daily Student newspaper. That experience propelled me to pack up and move to Syracuse, New York, a month after graduation to study product strategy, audience development and sustainable newsroom business models at the Newhouse School.
This past spring I finished my master's degree. Currently, I'm researching the independent local journalism ecosystem at Syracuse's Institute for Democracy, Journalism & Citizenship and working as an Associate Producer at Gray Media's InvestigateTV.
I'm dedicated to diagnosing problems before they're obvious, fixing things that are broken and always finding a way to succeed.
